Housing Families First Partnership:
The Key to Unlocking Homelessness
Housing Families First continues to provide high-quality services designed to end homelessness in our community! They are committed to implementing a holistic approach to solving this problem, which includes emergency shelter for families and single adult men, transitional housing for Veterans and permanent supportive housing for families. Housing Families First undergirds each and every service they provide. Special emphasis is placed on addressing chronic homelessness through community-based case management, rapid rehousing, and building relationships with a broad range of housing providers.
M-RAC's "Change For The Homeless" provides needed items such as household essentials, move-in kits with household cleaning supplies, and kitchen supplies.
Sweaters for All Weather
Although coats are the optimum cold weather gear, Children and adults need something warm and cozy to wrap up in on cold chilly mornings and crisp afternoons into evening. In our approach to serving underserved children and improvised families we choose to supply sweaters to multiple schools and homeless and family shelters.
Underwear for Under Care
In conjunction with school nurses this program will supply underwear and other needed toiletries and hygiene necessities for school emergencies.
